Elevator Pitch Workshop

Join your fellow WICT Network: New York members for a virtual event and fantastic cause: Volunteer to support people returning to the workforce!

With over 10M people out of the workforce due to family caregiving responsibilities & other factors a whopping 90% OF THEM ARE WOMEN. Women aiming to get back into the workforce are often faced with serious anxiety, especially if they haven’t interviewed or “pitched” in a few years.  For this reason, The WICT Network: New York is honored to partner with Path Forward, a non-profit on a mission to empower women and caregivers to restart their careers.

WICT Network members will help attendees with their presentation and networking skills by listening and offering feedback on their personal elevator pitches.  At the start of the event, Path Forward staff will provide a quick highlight on how to provide feedback, and then volunteers will be paired with returners in a ‘speed-dating’ format of ten-minute intervals.

This a virtual event to volunteer and give back to the community. Join us and help our fellow women colleagues be prepared to return to the workforce, by building their confidence and helping them reinforce their soft skills.
